Southwind Bank is converting to a new online and mobile banking system to provide you with new features and a new user interface.
We have taken steps to ensure a smooth conversion process for you; however, we are recommending that each of our customers take certain actions to maintain the continuity of their customized online banking experience.
The conversion process will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7th, and will be completed around 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10th. Online banking, mobile banking & our website will be unavailable during this period. Online banking will be accessible at https://www.southwindbank.com starting the morning of Monday, August 10th.
NEW FEATURES
Debit Card Management is available should you need to temporarily deactivate your card if it is lost, stolen, or not in use (via mobile or online).
Mobile Deposit is coming!
Secondary User Access for commercial accounts will be available, allowing you to provide account access to your CPA, office manager or other employees with defined user rights. You can make these changes at your convenience. Please contact us if you are interested in this new feature.
QuickBooks/Intuit Products Web Connect & Express Connect will now be available.
eNotices will now be an option alongside our existing eStatements.
PREPARING FOR THE CONVERSION
ONLINE BANKING
Your current username will be converted over to the new system as long as it is 15 characters or fewer. If your current username is longer than 15 characters, it will need to be changed before the conversion. For security purposes, when you log in for the first time, your temporary password will be the last (6) digits of your SSN or TIN/EIN number. You will then be prompted to change the password and complete additional steps to secure your new account.
The accounts, account numbers, check images and transaction history will all carry over to the new system. However, customized settings will not. If these apply to you, please follow the steps below to retain this information:
- Record any custom account alert and notification settings you have set.
- Record any “friendly” names you have assigned to your accounts (i.e., “John’s Checking”).
Your online banking webpage bookmark will need to be deleted and recreated.
MOBILE BANKING APP
The existing app will no longer be available after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7th. We recommend deleting the app at that time to avoid any confusion. The new app will be available for download on Monday, August 10th, from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) and Google Play Store (Android). The app will be available on our website or by searching “Southwind Bank Mobile App” in the app stores.
EXTERNAL FUNDS TRANSFER AND AUTOMATIC RECURRING TRANSFERS
Existing external funds transfer connections will not convert and will need to be re-established in the new system on or after August 10th. Please make note of the routing numbers and account numbers for those external accounts prior to August 7th. Upon accessing the new system, you will need to re-enroll those accounts including verifying account ownership, which will take two to three business days.
BILL PAY
Your Bill Pay service and existing Bill Pay information will remain in place. Our Bill Pay provider is not changing; however, the location you use to access Bill Pay within online banking may look slightly different after the conversion.
ACH ORIGINATION
The bank’s staff will be contacting commercial customers that use ACH origination to assist with converting the ACH files to the new system.
